VUZF and VUZF Lab are organizing a conference on the issues of tax legislation in Bulgaria
Laboratory for Applied Scientific Research (VUZF Lab) to the University of finance, business and entrepreneurship is officially open.
This long-awaited project unifies the efforts of the University to be in favor of the business through scientific cooperation and by preparing analysis and carrying out research, consultancy and project activities.
The activities of the Lab are concentrated in six major program directions: Economics, Finance and Financial management, Business management and Marketing, Insurance and Social insurance, Information and communication technologies, International PhD and master’s programs and projects and International Cooperation. Their broad scope covers contemporary topics and issues of regional and global significance.
The Program Directors of the six departments are key experts, part of the scientific and expert staff of the University, and all of them are recognized through their successful business and academic careers and with their experience in management of national and international projects. Executive Director of VUZF Lab is Prof. Grigorii Vazov- Rector of VUZF.
The University of finance, business and entrepreneurship and the VUZF Lab are organizing an Applied Science conference on „Tax legislation in Bulgaria through the eyes of experts“ which will be held on 16th November 2018, at 9.00 am at the VUZF, hall 501.
The event is organized with the institutional support of the National Revenue Agency (NRA), the Union of Bulgarian Jurists, the Institute of Certified Public Accountants (ICPA) and the “Dobi Press” Publishing House
The conference will be focused on the application of tax law in the area of the direct and indirect taxes, tax and judicial control, The Value Added Tax Act, Corporate Income Tax Act, Tax-Insurance Procedure Code, Income Taxes on Natural Persons Act. Lectors from the National Revenue Agency will talk about the most common reasons for the issuing of audit acts with which additional amounts are charged to companies due to incorrect or imprecisely defined tax obligations, as well as the most frequent violations of the Tax-Insurance Procedure Code admitted by the companies.
Among the main speakers of the conference are representatives from the National Revenue Agency, the Institute of Certified Public Accountants (ICPA), Supreme administrative court, the administrative courts, the bar association, experts in the area and lecturers in VUZF.
Some of the topics which will be discussed are: the changes in the tax legislation from 2019 in the VAT Act, the Corporate Income Taxation Act and the Income Taxes on Natural Persons Act; specific aspects of VAT on complex supplies; accounting aspects of corporate income taxation; the reform of a single VAT area in the EU; current case law on the discussed topics.
