Assoc. Prof. Grigorii Vazov, PhD

Assoc. Prof. Grigorii Vazov has been rector of VUZF University from 2008 to 2021 and was executive director of VUZF Lab from 2018 to 2023.
He was Secretary General of the Council of Rectors of the Higher Education Institutions in the Republic of Bulgaria. He served as President of VUZF University from 2005 to 2017 and as chairman of the Board of Trustees from 2002 to 2017. He has been also member of the Fiscal Council of the Republic of Bulgaria and Member of the Supervisory Board of DZI, part of KBC Group since 2015.

He served as Advisor of the Minister and Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce from 1991 to 1994. He was Chair of the Board of Directors of “Balkanbank AD” (1992-1994). He served as member of the Board of Directors of the International Investment Bank, the International Bank for Economic Cooperation and the Bank Consolidation Company from 1991 to 1994. Prof. Vazov had two terms in office as Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Accountancy of the University of National and World Economy, Sofia, (1998- 2010).

Since 1994, he has been  manager of the consultancy company Vazov Institute Ltd, operating in EU projects.

His scientific interests are in the field of Macro-Economics, Finance Theory, Corporate Finance, Management theory, where he has more than 100 publications, including autonomous monograph, three textbooks, a series of  articles, scientific reports, reviews and works.

He was manager and participant in the development of many science-applied projects.
